”Why Didn't Jesus Come as a Woman?"

Question: Was it important for Jesus to become man and come on this earth? If no, then why Jesus did not become lady, and come on this earth ? Profile:Male 46-60 Asia

It was most important, and essential for mankind’s salvation that Jesus – as a man -- came to Earth to be the perfect sacrifice for our sins – the “Lamb of God” (John 1:29) – and grant us everlasting life with God, the Father (John 3:16-18).

The Bible has many references of a coming Messiah, who will save the world and bring God’s Kingdom to Earth (Numbers 24:15-19; Isaiah 53; John 1:41; 4:25; 7:41).

As for the gender Jesus would take when He came to Earth, the Bible refers to the “Son of Man” (Psalms 8; Luke 5:24), “Son of David” (Matthew 22:42; Mark 12:35) or the “Son of God” Matthew 16:13-17; John 14:6-14; 1 John 5:10), so the male gender is clearly indicated. But God and Jesus are not claiming male superiority over the female gender. While the Bible prescribes roles for men v. women, which causes controversy among some, the Bible values the worth and place of all peoples on Earth regardless of gender (Genesis 1:26, 27; Psalms 139:13-18; Galatians 3:28). In fact, Jesus interacted with and engaged women more openly than was the custom at that time. Pharisees and other religious leaders were often shocked by the people with whom Jesus associated (Matthew 26:6-13; Luke 19:5-7).

God had a plan for Jesus – to save mankind by forgiving and atoning for our sins. The Bible told us that He would come as a man, but the Bible also showed how women play an important role in the church and the world (Luke 7:36-50, 10:38; John 4:7-26; Mark 14:3-9, 16:9-11).
