”Education"

If this isn’t one subject that gets people’s juices flowing, then I don’t know what does. Even seniors whose kids are long out of the public school system have a stake in it. That stake is called “real estate taxes.” Even those who don’t own homes still pay the freight, especially when construction bond issues for education are proposed at the ballot box. And they always pass, don’t they? Who wants to be branded against education, eh?

A decade ago, I returned to school (University of Virginia) for my Masters Degree in education. Teaching and writing attract me, so I’m working towards both as I move into my so-called golden years. It almost sounds pleasantly poetic.

As always, feel free to e-mail and comment on what you read. I’m always interested in (and entitled to) your opinions, too.
